Fire hits residential area in Sampaloc, Manila

MANILA, Philippines — A fire broke out at a residential area in Sampaloc, Manila, early Sunday morning, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
In a report, fire authorities said the blaze started around 4:20 a.m., along Basilio corner Florentino Streets.

The fire reached the first alarm around 4:29 a.m. and hit the second alarm at 4:40 a.m.
It was placed under control at 5:17 a.m. and extinguished over an hour later at 6:35 a.m.
BFP has yet to provide details on the extent of the damage, as of writing.
